Dr. Uldine Castel joined the Primary Medical family in June 2012. She has been a prominent figure in the Ventura medical community for many years, previously serving as a physician-owner of Family Medical Practice. Her comprehensive patient care spans geriatric care, women’s health, pediatric medicine, and specialized treatment for HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Castel is deeply involved in public health, serving as the Health Officer for Ventura County. Her passion for medicine has also taken her around the globe; she served as a Medical Project Assistant in Bolivia for two years and volunteered in mobile clinics in Mali, Africa. In her local community, she is a mentor for the Family Medicine Residency program at Ventura County Medical Center. In her free time, she enjoys competing on a rowing team, gardening, and cooking.
