Our story
Dr. Thomas Lami opened the original Garden Street office in 1973 with the conviction that primary care worked best when the doctor knew you, knew your family, and didn’t rush the visit. Fifty-three years and seven offices later, that’s still how we operate.
His son, Dr. Christian Lami, joined the practice in 2003 and runs it now. About a third of our current patients have been here for over 20 years. Some are on their third generation of care.
Dr. Thomas Lami opens the Garden Street office in Ventura with three exam rooms and one nurse.
First expansion: a second office in Santa Paula serves the Heritage Valley.
Pediatrics added. The Telegraph office opens to absorb growing demand.
Dr. Christian Lami joins the practice his father founded.
Endocrinology launches under Dr. Marcus Whitfield — most patients no longer drive to Westlake.
Senior care formalized as a dedicated service line. Loma Vista office opens.
Seven offices, twelve providers, and the same answer when patients call: a real human picks up the phone.
01
Same provider, every visit. We protect this above almost everything else.
02
Our follow-ups run 30 minutes, not 15. New-patient visits are an hour. The math doesn't work — and we do it anyway.
03
No phone trees. Call our front desk during business hours and a person picks up — usually before the third ring.
04
We design our practice to keep you for decades. That changes how every appointment feels.
You’re heading to our scheduling partner. We’ll match you with the right provider and time — usually within a week.
